Most field goals made by zone, 1996-2021

This one I feel was kind of expected: Tim Duncan leads the paint, the top of the key, and the baseline 2s. Tony Parker leads the elbows. Manu leads the wing 3s, Bruce Bowen the corner 3s and Patty Mills the straight-up 3.

Most field goals made in a single season by zone, 1996-2021

Tim Duncan’s 1997-98 season was his best season in the paint with 539 buckets! It’s interesting that Bruce Bowen hasn’t had anyone pass his best corner 3 seasons. Noticeable mention for Bryn Forbes’ 2019 season.

Most field goals made by zone in 1998-99

The first championship for the Spurs came in 1999 against the New York Knicks. Tim Duncan and David Robinson DOMINATED! I like the 3-point symmetry. Sean Elliot was impressive!

Most field goals made by zone in 2002-03

Tim Duncan continued to grow and impress. And along came Tony Parker. This shot chart is even more symmetrical. Stephen Jackson owned the wings, Bowen had the corners, and Duncan/Parker did all the rest.

Most field goals made by zone in 2004-05

Another interesting and symmetrical shot chart. Brent Barry and Robert Horry make their appearance.

Most field goals made by zone in 2006-07

Manu is here! Brent Barry also made the chart with 44 total 3-pointers from the right wing and Michael Finley contributed from the baseline.

Most field goals made by zone in 2013-14

This chart shows how much Tim Duncan and Tony Parker wanted this championship. It’s great seeing Patty Mills’ contribution. Danny Green and Marco Belinelli, nice to see you here too!
